The Philippine National Bank (PNB) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Social Security System (SSS) for the implementation of the improved Sickness and Maternity Benefit (SMB) Payments thru Bank Program.

Under this program, SSS will now remit the sickness claims and maternity benefit reimbursements of SSS-registered employers to PNB. The amount will then be automatically credited to the employers’ savings or current accounts in PNB.

With the improved Sickness and Maternity Benefit (SMB) Payments thru Bank Program, employers will now enjoy a faster turnaround time in receiving their SMB reimbursements via their PNB savings or current accounts.

For SSS-registered employers who wish to avail of this convenient innovation from PNB and SSS, you may visit any PNB branch to enroll in this program or call the PNB hotline at 573-8888. For more information about the program’s features and benefits, you can also log on to www.pnb.com.ph.
